Genuine USA made bakelite - 1.6mm thickness (1/16") replica of a 5 hole early 1950's Tele bakelite pickguard. These pickguards are very lightly reliced, nitro lacquered and polished to a semi-gloss finish. I have both Tele and Esquire guards available, please let me know which one you want (price is the same).
As in original 50's guards, these also feature a 6" spray can circular pattern underneath.
The guards are made in my workshop in Zagreb, Croatia.
CNC is used for outline and hole placement and the rest - lacquering, sanding, polishing and aging - is done manually. The pickguards are very lightly reliced, please ask for a photo of my current stock to choose from. I can make a heavier relic upon request at no extra charge.
Since Fender itself has varying patterns of mounting hole placements, I have modeled this pickguard to have the same mounting holes layout as a modern Fender Bakelite pickguard used on Vintage reissue Teles. There is, however, a chance you will have to fill some of the existing holes in your guitar body and make new ones to fit this guard. This is a normal issue that happens even if one uses original bodies and guards. This will not be subject for a return.
Attached are some of the photos, one is with a Butterscotch nitro Ash body (also of my production). I guess most of you would want this guard for a Blonde Tele so I wanted to portray that combination.
Upon request I can make these guards with different pickup cut-outs. Please contact me for availability and lead time in that case. Let me know if you'd like a non-lacquered guard and I'll make you a listing for that.
